The excellent range of catalogue items we have is largely due to the generosity of the public. We encourage donations, but we have a few questions we need to ask to ensure the item is suitable for our catalogue.
Please consider our criteria checklist before donating:
1. Is it in good working order?
To keep repair and insurance costs low, we ask all the generous souls out there to ensure the quality and reliability of Share Shed items before donating.
2. Is the item easily transportable?
Our members need to be able to move the item and load it safely into a car or trailer. Treadmills, fridges and other very heavy items are not in the catalogue for this reason.
3. Is it safe to use?
Some items pose a risk to members because they may have been recalled without the owner knowing (portable cots and electric heaters) are hard to clean thoroughly and therefore harbour germs (dog beds) or are designed to injure others (knives, nunchucks).

While we would love to accept every offer, we sometimes need to say no due to storage and insurance requirements. We'll get back to you about their suitability as soon as possible and if they are accepted, we can then organise collection.
