Share Shed is a not-for-profit incorporated association. We rely on membership fees, fundraising and the generosity of our supporters to stay open. If you love what we do and want to see Share Shed grow, there are lots of different ways you can support us financially - from donating your recycling profits to larger recurring monthly donations, or even gifting a membership to someone in need.
Become an ongoing financial supporter
The generosity of our supporters is something we couldn't do without - they take the pressure off our volunteer team and allow us to concentrate on the things that matter. If you have the ability to donate regularly, we'd love your support now more than ever.
You can choose the amount and the frequency that suits you, and you can stop donations at any time. Please help keep us here for our community through these tough times, and we will be there for you.
Donate a membership to someone in need
Share Shed allows people from all walks of life to access great items for a very low cost, but sometimes the cost of a membership can be out of reach for those who could really use our services.
That's why we have partnered with community outreach organisations to pass on donated memberships. You can choose the level of membership you want to donate and we'll let you know when it's delivered. It's a kindness double up - your donation makes a positive impact on someone's life for a whole year and you can support Share Shed at the same time.
Donate your recycling profits to Share Shed
A simple way to contribute no matter how old you are! Simply collect your eligible containers and drop them to your closest Containers for Change location (there's one in Rocklea). Make sure to use our code to donate your profits.
Alternatively, you can simply bring your cans and bottles along to Share Shed next time your borrow and we'll take them for you. Easy!
How to Donate Items
The excellent range of catalogue items we have is largely due to the generosity of the public. We encourage donations on quality second hand items, especially those on our Wishlist.
While we would love to accept every offer, it is sometimes necessary to refuse a donation. Unsuitable items take up a lot of room in our shed while we try and find a responsible way to dispose of them. This takes up a lot of volunteer time and can cost us money. We also run out of space for new donations from time to time, so even if your item is a great donation, we may ask you to hold off donating until we make room.
